The Spiritual Fire

INTRODUCTION
Robert Fludd, a Rosicrucian mystic, writing in the seventeenth century, declared that the Fire of the philosophers was divided into three parts: first, a visible Fire which is the source of physical light and heat; second, an invisible, or astral Fire, which enlightens and warms the soul; third a spiritual, or divine Fire which in the universe is known as God and in man as spirit.
The Initiates who swore their oaths in the presence of the Fire abandoned the minor worries of regular life. Released from the ties of this physical realm, these purified souls became protectors of the symbolic Fire of wisdom, which is the authentic Light of the world.
The Fire is a reflection of the Universal Life, the driving force behind all celestial occurrences. In ancient times, this spiritual Fire was revered and honored as the very embodiment of God, but now it remains entombed beneath the wreckage of humanity’s collapsed sanctuary. The dim light it emits is overshadowed by the prevailing preoccupation with materialistic concerns in this age lacking in philosophical depth.
When we reflect on the civilizations of old, such as Greece, Rome, and the magnificence of Egypt, we lament their eventual decline. Observing the current nations, we are uncertain which will be the next to meet a similar fate and become part of history’s ghostly procession of lost peoples.
Throughout the world, even in the changing tides of nations, we glimpse beyond the illusions of the physical realm, equity; everywhere we witness retribution, not from mankind but from the unconquerable One, the everlasting Fire.
By revisiting the extinct races, we can uncover the reasons behind their demise. Once the inner Fire is extinguished, life ceases to exist within the body. When the light was removed from the altar, the temple lost its status as the abode of a divine being.
Moral decay, lust, and passion, aversions and anxieties, infiltrated the spirits of Greece and Rome, and dark sorcery loomed over Egypt; the glow on the shrine diminished gradually. The clergy forgot the Truth, the essence of the Fire. Gradually the Fire faded away, and as the final glimmer turned cold, a powerful nation perished, entombed under the lifeless remnants of its own spiritual Fire.
The Fire endured, never fading away. Like the very spirit it embodies, it is indestructible and cannot perish, for it is life itself, which is eternal. It found a sanctuary in a remote wilderness, where a mighty nation flourished around it.
And so, the saga of history unfolds through time. As long as a people remain faithful to the Fire, it endures, but if they neglect to feed it with their lives, it moves on to new lands and realms.
The worshippers of this Fire are now labeled as heathens. It is only when we are baptized by the Holy Spirit, which is Fire, that we realize we are heathens ourselves, for Fire is Light, and the children of the Fire are the Sons of Light, just as God is Light.
Throughout the ages, there have been those who have worked alongside man to assist him in igniting this divine spark within himself. Those individuals who have dedicated their lives to selflessness and serving others are the ones responsible for igniting and nurturing this Fire.
After years of devoted study, they have unraveled the secrets it holds. Manly P. Hall referred to them as “The Initiates of the Flame.” They have worked tirelessly throughout the ages to assist humanity in uncovering the light within themselves, leaving behind the enduring mark of Fire on the pages of history.
Their contributions have gone unnoticed and uncelebrated, reduced to mere fairy tales for the entertainment of children. However, the day will come when the world will acknowledge their invaluable work and realize that our present civilization is built upon the enduring legacy of the mighty demigods of the past.
We stand as Faust did, holding on to our knowledge, yet no wiser, because we refuse to accept the truths and experiences of others. Let’s honor the Sons of the Fire not with words, but by living in a way that makes their sacrifice worthwhile.
They have shown us the way and led humanity to the unknown. Their lives were the key to their wisdom, and they stand as milestones in the history of human progress. Let’s silently watch these mighty ones pass by.
Orpheus played the seven-stringed lyre, creating celestial music. Hermes followed with his emerald tablet of divine revelation. Krishna illuminated the battlefield of life, teaching the mysteries of the soul. Buddha, in his yellow robe, revealed the glory of his heart.
Jesus, surrounded by the halo of Golden Flame, exuded calm mastery. Mohammed, Zoroaster, Confucius, Odin, Moses, and other worthy figures passed before the student’s eyes. They were born of the Fire. From the Fire they emerged, and to the Fire they have gone back.
They call out to us, urging us to join them, and to serve the Fire they cherish in our own robes of earned honor. They had no allegiance to any creed or group; they only served the one noble ideal. They have returned to the same place. There was no hierarchy among them. Together, they worked hand in hand for the good of humanity.

THE FIRE UPON THE ALTAR
Throughout our history, Fire has played a vital role in the religious ceremonies of humanity. In nearly every religion, there are sacred altar fires, carefully tended by priests and vestals. The Bible also makes numerous references to the sacred fires used as a form of devotion by the ancient Israelites.
The Altar of Burnt Offerings holds a history as ancient as humanity itself, harking back to the era when the first man rose from the misty realms of ancient Lemuria and witnessed the sun, the majestic Fire Spirit of the universe. Followers of Zoroaster, the Persian Initiate, have venerated Fire for centuries in reverence to the great Fire God, Ormuzd, whom they credit with the formation of the cosmos.
Understand that the Fire that blazes inside you and guides your path is the eternal Fire of the ancestors. Just as their Fires were fueled by the finest oil, your spiritual Fire must be nourished by a life of purity and selflessness.
The history of humanity is intertwined with the Wisdom Teachings through two distinct paths – one aligned with Fire and the other with water, representing opposing forces of nature.
The Sons of Seth, followers of faith and the heart, are connected to water, while the Children of Cain, followers of the mind and action, are associated with Fire. Today, descendants of Cain, the Spirit of Fire, can be found among Alchemists, Hermetic Philosophers, and Rosicrucians.
Understanding that we are the cube altar where the eternal Fire resides is crucial. The Fire Initiate has long been responsible for preserving and nurturing the Spiritual Fire within, much like the ancient priests who tended to Vesta’s temple Fires.
The everlasting lamp of the alchemist, which has burned for thousands of years without fuel in the catacombs of Rome, is a symbol of the spiritual Fire within. The image shows the eternal lamp carried by the Initiate, representing the spinal column of man with a flickering blue and red Fire at the top.
Just as the ancient lamp was fueled by pure olive oil, man purifies and transmits life essences within himself to fuel the eternal lamp. The ancients used to offer sacrifices to their gods on altars, with the Hierophant offering up spices and incense.
Today, the mystics still have the incense burner as a symbol, but few recognize themselves in it. The ancients used such symbols to represent individual development, and just as the Spiritual Fire within the student slowly consumes and transmutes the base metals within, the essence is offered up as smoke on the altar of Divinity. King Solomon, upon completing his temple, offered bulls as a sacrifice to the Lord by burning them on the temple altar.
The student recognizes that the animal sacrifices are representative of the celestial zodiac signs, with the Ram and the Bull symbolizing the qualities associated with Aries and Taurus. This implies that the Initiate, as they undergo tests and purification, is offering their lower animal instincts and desires on the altar of their higher being. In mystery school symbolism, the Symbol of Mortality includes a spade, a coffin, an open grave, and a sprig of acacia or evergreen, with the spade being a symbol of death.

The Book of Thoth unveils a profound symbolism within the deck of playing cards, which is perceived as a peculiar document handed down to mankind. Among the suits, the spade stands out as the only one where court cards face away from the pip.
While kings and queens in other suits direct their gaze towards the corner marker, those in the spade suit look in the opposite direction. Although conventionally linked to the acorn, occult students hold a divergent viewpoint.
He discerns in the spade, a symbol of death throughout history, a resemblance to a specific part of his own body. If you revisit the image of the spade, and if you have studied anatomy, you will notice that the grave digger’s spade resembles the spinal column, and the spade-shaped symbol on playing cards is simply the sacrum bone.
At the base of the spinal column lies a bone that acts as the spine’s foundation and represents the spear of the Passion. It serves as a pathway for the roots of the spinal nerve, which are essentially the roots of the Tree of Life.
This bone is the core for nourishing the lower vertebrae, as well as the sacrum and coccygeal bones that dig the graves for all created things. The grave digger’s spade is a striking representation of this idea, traditionally used by mystic brotherhoods.
The key is to transmute and elevate the energies moving through the lower spinal nerves to fuel the altar Fire at the uppermost part of the spine. Where we place our focus, whether on higher or lower things, determines how our life energy is utilized.
If lower emotions prevail, the Fire on the altar burns faintly and dies out, as the energy that supports it has been concentrated on the lower aspects. When altruism is dominant, the lower forces are elevated and purified, making them usable as fuel for the eternal lamp.
This is why it was a great sin to let the lamp go out, as the pillar of flames above the Tabernacle, purified and prepared as directed by the Most High, is the Spiritual Fire that lights man’s way.

The Spiritual Sun, the essence of light in our solar system, is akin to a Fire that was once as small as our own. Through the power of attraction and the transmutation of its ever-growing energies, it has grown to its current size.
This inner Fire within humans is the guiding light that shines in darkness, illuminating their path in a way that no external light can. The light emanating from him reveals the hidden mysteries of the universe one by one, dispelling his ignorance as it spreads.
Darkness can only be banished by light, and the stronger the light, the further the darkness retreats. This is the Philosopher’s Lamp, guiding him through life’s dark paths, allowing him to navigate without fear. Without this inner light, he may gain all else but remain lost, unable to see his path or dispel his ignorance with the truth.
Let each student observe the Fire burning on their own altar. They should strive to make their body, the altar, as beautiful and harmonious as possible, and offer their actions and deeds as frankincense and myrrh.
Just as in the Tabernacle, they should offer everything on the altar of divinity, and each day work to dispel the symbols of mortality. They must recognize that the promise of life and immortality is within themselves, and by fueling the Fire of life with their daily actions, they can kindle the altar Fire within themselves and help others do the same.

THE MYSTERY OF THE ALCHEMIST
In the present day, only a handful of occult scholars are unaware of the alchemist, but there are scarce few who possess any understanding of the enigmatic figures from the Middle Ages who veiled the soul’s history in chemical allegory.
At a time when expressing religious ideas could mean facing execution, they dedicated themselves to studying the mysteries of nature in clandestine caves and cellars, defying the religious norms of their era.
Imagine the ancient alchemist, immersed in the exploration of natural knowledge, surrounded by test tubes and retorts in his secret laboratory. Surrounded by massive tomes and books written by ancient scholars, he is a devoted seeker of nature’s mysteries, having dedicated years, and perhaps even multiple lifetimes, to the pursuit he holds dear. His hair has turned gray with the passing of time.
Illuminated by the glow of his small lamp, he struggles to make out the strange symbols on the pages before him. His singular goal is to discover the Philosopher’s Stone. With a comprehensive understanding of chemical combinations and access to a variety of chemicals, he works diligently with his furnace and burners to transform base metals into the revered Philosopher’s Gold.
After much searching, he finally stumbles upon the key and discloses to the world the secret of the Philosopher’s Gold and the Immortal Stone. Salt, sulfur, and mercury hold the key to his dilemma; using them, he creates the Philosopher’s Stone, extracts the Elixir of Life, and with their power, transmutes base metals into gold.
After many years of labor, he takes his small lamp and silently vanishes into the Great Unknown. His actions and discoveries remain unknown to all, but he continues to explore the mysteries of the universe with his little lamp.
Just as the close of the 15th century veiled him in mystery, the dawn of the 20th century is now honoring him with the rightful glory. The world is starting to comprehend the truths he knew and to marvel at the understanding he had gained through years of labor.
Since the dawn of his existence, man has been an alchemist, unlocking the powers within himself to become human. Life experiences are the elements he manipulates, like a philosopher conducting experiments. He seeks to understand the secrets of nature through its wondrous symbolism, like reading a great book.
He relies on his own inner Spiritual Fire to illuminate the pages, without which the printed words hold no significance. His body serves as the furnace for the Philosopher’s Stone, while his senses and organs act as the vessels for experimentation, fueled by his motivation.
Salt, sulphur, and mercury are the essential components of his alchemical practice. Ancient philosophers believed that salt represented the earth, sulphur symbolized Fire and spirit, and mercury was seen as a messenger similar to the winged Hermes of the Greeks. They associated the color purple with mercury, as it was a blend of red and blue, representing the body and spirit, respectively.
The alchemist comes to understand that he embodies the Philosopher’s Stone, which becomes diamond-like when mercury, the connection of mind, unites the salt and sulphur, or the spirit and body. Man represents the principle of mind in human form, just as animals embody emotion.
He stands with one foot in the heavens and the other on the earth. His divine essence reaches up to the celestial realms, while his earthly nature keeps him grounded in reality. The philosopher creates the Philosopher’s Stone by aligning his spirit and body, which is then shaped and polished by life’s challenges to reflect light in countless ways.
The Spirit Fire, also known as the Elixir of Life, is fueled by the transformation of the base metal into gold, achieved through the transmutation of the lower man into spiritual gold. This process is carried out through a combination of study and love.
He is constructing the remedy for the world’s suffering within himself. The transformation of ordinary metal into gold is not just a metaphorical concept, but a tangible reality. The same alchemical process that creates spiritual gold can also manifest physically.
Many ancient alchemists were able to create precious metal from lead and other materials by understanding that all things contain elements of everything else. They did not aim to create something out of nothing, but rather to extract and build upon what already existed. This is the only logical approach, as every grain of sand or drop of water contains elements of the universe within.
Humans cannot create something out of nothing, but they do possess all things within them in the form of potential energy. Similar to an alchemist working with metals, they are merely utilizing what they already have. The living Philosopher’s Stone is truly a magnificent entity.
Similar to the fire opal, it sparkles with a million different lights, transforming in harmony with the wearer’s feelings. The transmutation process, where spiritual Fire purifies and shines through the body as a soul of gold and blue, is undeniably stunning.
Among the symbols of the Masons is a five-pointed star with two clasped hands, embodying the mystery of the Philosopher’s Stone. The clasped hands signify the unity of man, where the higher and lower aspects work together for their mutual advancement through cooperation, rather than competition.
The pentacle is the embodiment of the soul, born from cooperation; it is the revered Philosopher’s Stone, more precious than any earthly riches. It is from this symbol that the life-giving rivers mentioned in the Bible flow; it is the Morning Star heralding the dawn of Mastery, a prize for those who follow the path of the ancient alchemists.
Students should realize that the alchemy of life naturally leads to the progression explained in alchemical writings, culminating in the union of the sun and the moon as described in the Hermetic Marriage, symbolizing the unity of body and spirit for mutual development.
Centuries ago, we were the alchemists conducting secret studies of the soul. Today, we have even more freedom to express our opinions without fear of personal harm. The modern alchemist is afforded an opportunity that his ancient predecessor never had.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of a street corner, he witnesses nature’s experiments taking place daily. By observing the amalgamation of metals, he can delve into the study of Divinity through the power of analogy.
The Fire of life tempers his spirit through hardships and challenges, much like the moon’s influence on life events. His own desires and wishes awaken the powers of his soul, and with the development of his perception, he can transmute his experiences into soul qualities by understanding the simplicity of everyday life.
Nowadays, the alchemist is not found in remote caves or underground chambers, toiling away in seclusion. Instead, as he carries out his experiments, it becomes apparent that a barrier is erected around him. Although he interacts with the world, he remains detached from it, similar to the ancient masters.
As he progresses in his work, the influence of others’ advice and external assistance diminishes gradually, until he finds himself standing alone in darkness. It is then that he must rely on his own lamp, with the experiments he has conducted serving as his compass.
He must drink the Elixir of Life that he has developed, and use it to illuminate the lamp of his spiritual awareness. Holding it above his head, he should journey into the Great Unknown. If he has been a dutiful and loyal servant, he will gain insight into the alchemy of Divinity.
His tools will change from test tubes and bottles to worlds and globes. He will watch silently and gain knowledge from the Divine One, the Great Alchemist of the universe, about the ultimate alchemy – creating life, sustaining form, and constructing worlds.

THE EGYPTIAN INITIATE
Countless centuries have gone by since the Egyptian Priest King walked among the pillars of Thebes. Long before the fall of Atlantis and thousands of years prior to the Christian Era, Egypt was a realm of profound truths. The Great White Brotherhood extended their hand to the Empire of the Nile, filling the ancient pyramid passages with the chants of the Initiates.
During that period, the Pharaoh, now regarded as half-human and half-divine, held power in ancient Egypt. Pharaoh is the Egyptian word for king. Many of the later Pharaohs were corrupt and insignificant. It is only the early Pharaohs that we currently honor as Priest Kings.
Visualize the impressive Hall of Luxor, its columns intricately carved with the histories of the gods, supporting domes constructed from solid granite. Seated at the top of the chamber was the Pharaoh of the Nile, adorned in his royal attire; surrounding him were his advisors, with the high priest of the temple being the most prominent among them.
A majestic scene unfolded: the towering form of the Atlantean monarch, draped in gold and exquisite gems; wearing the crown representing the North and South, the ancient dual realm; with the coiled serpent of the Initiate on his brow, the serpent that was raised in the wilderness so that all who saw it could survive; the dormant serpent energy within man, which coiled it’s head downwards around the tree of life, leading to his expulsion from the Lord’s garden, but when raised on the Cross, it became the symbol of Christ.
As an Initiate of Scorpio, the Pharaoh harnessed the power of the serpent, which signifies the evolved Scorpio energy. When this energy ascends in a revitalized person, it is known as Kundalini. The serpent served as a symbol of Initiation. It signified that the serpent had been awakened within him, for the genuine Pharaoh served as both a priest of God and a leader of people.
There he was, seated on the cube altar throne, a testament to his control over the four elements of his physical existence—a judge of both the living and the dead. In spite of his formidable power and the grandeur of the greatest empire on earth, he humbly submitted to the will of the gods.
The triple sceptre of the Nile, the Shepherd’s Crook, the Anubis-headed Staff, and the Flail or Whip are all held in his hands. These items are representative of his responsibilities and the skills he has honed.
Through the whip, he disciplined his physical body; with the Shepherd’s Crook, he nurtured his emotional body; and with the Anubis-headed Staff, he controlled his mind and proved himself worthy of leading others by first adhering to the laws.
Despite his majestic robes and the scarab on his chest, along with the All-seeing Eye above his throne, nothing was more valuable or revered to the Priest King of ancient Egypt than the triangular girdle or apron symbolizing his initiation.
The ancient Egyptian apron represented the cleansing of the soul, as the lower emotions represented by Scorpio were covered by the white sheepskin of purification. This representation of his purification was the most esteemed belonging of the ancient Pharaoh; and this modest insignia, worn by numerous individuals of lesser rank and prestige yet equal to him in spiritual cleansing, was the most treasured item for the Priest King.
He remained seated, his being etched with the words of the Initiate, showcasing the symbols of his purification and mastery, a wise monarch of an enlightened populace. It was through these Priest Kings that the Divine acted, as they were of the Melchisedec lineage.
Through them, the doctrine known as the divine right of kings was established, and despite degeneracy’s attempts, it has not been entirely erased. This doctrine is considered divine because God was able to manifest through them via spirituality and growth.
They were cognizant tools in the hands of a prepared writer, willing and proud to execute the tasks of those with whom they had synchronized through knowledge and truth. As time passed, selfishness and egotism infiltrated the hearts of the king and the people, mirroring the fate of all nations.
The support from the Great White Brotherhood that sustained ancient Egypt was gradually withdrawn, allowing the forces of darkness to turn the once magnificent land into ruins. The once revered names of mighty kings faded into obscurity amidst the decay.
Massive cataclysms shook the world, and from the abyss of darkness emerged the Great White Brotherhood escorting the chosen people to the land of fulfillment; Egypt, the land of magnificence, crumbled into nothingness.
The impressive temples of the Pharaohs are now in ruins, and the temples of Isis have turned into broken piles of sandstone. But what about the priest kings who worked there during its peak? They are still among us, as those who led in the past continue to lead today, if they have remained on the correct path.
His sceptre may be lost, and his priestly garments may have decayed, but the Priest King continues to traverse the earth with the same grace, authority, and childlike innocence that once defined his greatness.
Though he no longer dons the robes of his order and carries no formal credentials, he remains a true priest king, bearing the genuine insignia of his rank. The coiled serpent has been replaced by knowledge and love. The hand that once gave riches from the past now performs small acts of kindness.
Though he no longer wields the scepters of self-control, he still shows that control in his daily life. While the altar fires in the Karnac temple have long been extinguished, the true Fire within him still burns, and he still bows before it as he did in Egypt’s glorious days.
While the priest is no longer his advisor, and the wise ones of his country no longer aid him in governmental problems, he is never alone. The priests in white and the counselors in blue still march with him and whisper words of strength when he needs them.
Have you witnessed people whom you found likable regardless of their appearance? Have you come across charming individuals whom you disliked despite their charm? Have you encountered educated individuals who seemed foolish, or individuals with little knowledge who appeared wise to you? These are the true signs of character, which cannot be diminished by the loss of title or position.
Kings with or without crowns they were—not puppets dressed in tawdry tinsel. And they still are kings and will be to the end of time, and they still manifest their rank, not by their superiority, and their high-headedness, but by the soul qualities which they radiate from themselves.
The purity of their lives continues to radiate outward from those who once wore the apron of the Initiate. Despite the decay of the triangular apron featuring a serpent, the spiritual essence of that symbol still shines through in their daily lives. This undeniable proof confirms their status as Priest Kings of the past and present.
They are present in all walks of life – from the highest positions to the lowest points. However, regardless of their placement, they remain the representatives of the divine, bringing hope to all who strive. They are rulers, not of this world but of the heavens, and in the life of our own Master, we find someone who aligned himself with those who served, and was a true leader even when his only crown was a wreath of thorns.
The initiations persist in the pyramid of Gizeh; the Initiate still receives the symbols of his rank. Before the inner Fire, he makes his vows, placing his crown, sceptre, robes, diamonds, hates, and fears on the burning altar of his higher self. He consecrates his life as a Priest King, swearing to serve none but his inner god.
His clothing is a reflection of his inner being; his crown is a symbol of his vitality, and in the pathways of life, he rules. The darkened towers and industrial chimneys surrounding him blend into the grand pillars of Luxor, and with a lunch pail in hand, his face bronzed from honest toil, he is as much a ruler as when he wore the crown of the double Nile, and the temple priest united him with his deity and his fellow man.

THE ARK OF THE COVENANT
The Ark, a symbol that has been passed down from ancient civilizations, is one of the most captivating symbols. Despite common belief associating it with the Jewish nation, the truth is that every country has the right to claim ownership of the Ark.
Much like the Jewish people, all others have experienced a decline in power and glory after losing the sacred Ark. The Ark held great significance in ancient Chaldea and Phoenicia. India celebrates it as the Lotus, and the ancient Egyptians have a legend about the moon god Osiris being imprisoned in an ark.
In every Mystery Religion across the globe, the ark is a representation of the origin of wisdom, both on an individual and cosmic scale. The Shekinah’s splendor hovers over it, appearing as a column of flames at night and a pillar of smoke during the day.
Every nation has witnessed the arrival of the Priest Kings and Initiates, who resurrect the sacred Ark from a forgotten civilization, trapped in crystallization. Surrounded by those who uphold the truth, they carry it forth to different lands and various peoples.
Within every religion and belief, we can identify a phenomenon of crystallization. This leads to the formation of small groups that distance themselves from the broader society. Many individuals, attached to the past, resist the evolution of new ideas.
When crystallization takes place, the essence of truth frequently migrates to other populations and is represented in different belief systems. The staves that carried and moved the ancient Ark of the Israelite were never removed until it was placed in Solomon’s temple. Similarly, the spirit Fire in man never rests until it is enthroned in the holy place of his solar temple. The bearers of this sacred truth always move towards the rising sun.
Civilizations are formed by individuals who uphold the truth, and perish when they abandon it. The era has arrived when its silent protectors have transported the sacred Ark and the Shekinah’s splendor, and in a solemn march have crossed the oceans and presented it to the unfamiliar world.
Throughout the universe, the call has resounded, and those who remain faithful to their higher principles have gathered around the sacred chest. Those who have pledged allegiance to their higher selves are accompanying the priests and their sacred duty, and a wondrous temple of mystery is being constructed in our beloved land, cherished and protected by those who work for the betterment of humanity.
The staffs are still inside the Ark, and it will only remain there when it can truly bring about good. The Western World is currently facing an opportunity. The knowledge of the ancients and the wisdom of the ages are seeking individuals to follow it.
The bearers of the Ark have stopped and are gathering a core group of spiritual souls to carry on their work. Whether the word of the Lord will remain with a nation depends on its own actions, as a nation’s actions are the collective actions of its individuals.
If it does not find anything here that is in tune with itself, if it finds only a few who will respond to its call, the call of service and brotherhood, then its priests will lift the staves once more and the sacred work will go out into other lands.
The existence of a country will come to an end, resembling the ancient city of the Golden Gate that will be consumed by oblivion. The call is being sounded, and those who cherish the Truth and prioritize the Light must align themselves with the band of servers who have devoted centuries to preserving the Truth.
They have given their lives countless times, placing their duty above their own happiness. The protectors of the sacred Word naturally draw in those who are devoted to living and honoring the Truth. Those who follow the teachings and lead a righteous life receive a significant influx of spiritual light.
Regardless of their origins, people come together as part of the vigilant group safeguarding the sacred Ark of the Covenant. Through their daily actions, individuals demonstrate their beliefs, goals, and dedication to this important mission.
The combined outlook of a specific number of individuals can either obstruct or allow the light to enter. Hence, each person bears a great responsibility, a significant task that must be carried out, and the genuine student must dedicate their life to it. Consequently, wherever they go, whatever they do, they are being led, and the divine presence’s glory guides their steps.
Inside the human brain, amidst the wings of the cherubim, is the mercy seat, where man communicates with his God like the priest of the tabernacle conversed with the spirit of the Lord among the Angels’ wings. Man is once more the Ark, containing the three principles – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – symbolized by the tablets of the law, the pot of manna, and the budding rod.
As with the ancient Israelites, when they became crystallized, the pot of manna and the rod that budded were removed from the Ark, leaving only the tablets or the letters of the law. Similarly, when an individual crystallizes and excludes various thoughts, they exclude the life force that was flowing to them.
By shutting out strangers, they shut out their own life, and all that is left are the tablets of the law, devoid of the spiritual life. The temple of Solomon, also known as the perfected temple of the human body, the universe, and the soul, serves as the ideal shrine for the living Ark. Positioned at the top of a grand cross, it is firmly established within man.
The staves of polarity that upheld it are taken away, turning it into a living entity, a lasting sanctuary for man to converse with his God. There, the purified priest, adorned in the garments of his faith, engages in dialogue with the spirit hovering over the Mercy Seat.
The Ark is always present within, yet man can only access it after passing through the outer court of the Tabernacle, completing all initiation degrees, and reaching the rank of Grand Master. Only then can he enter the darkened chamber, illuminated by the jewels on his breastplate, and engage in conversation with the Most High, the true spiritual essence within himself.
We are striving for this, and the day will come when each person will personally understand the mystery of the Ark, when the student, after purification, will be guided through the entrance of the Holy of Holies and there be embraced by the Light of Truth.
This was his birthright that he exchanged for a worthless meal. “For this purpose he came into the world, to testify to this truth, that through this light all people might be saved.” The Ark, that great spiritual principle, surrounded by its loving workers, is calling all to follow it.
When materiality and degeneracy lead to the destruction of a great people or a continent sinking beneath the ocean, the true individuals will be summoned around the Ark. They will be escorted from the land of darkness to a new world and a promised paradise.
All great teachings convey the same message. The student will come to understand its truth, and by aligning with the powers of light, serving as a vessel for its expression, and emanating it to those in need, the Light will safeguard them, turning them into a Sun of God.

KNIGHTS OF THE HOLY GRAIL
Prior to immersing oneself in the Grail legends, it is suggested that those intrigued by this subject explore the fairy tales designated as children’s stories. The narrative of King Arthur and the Round Table, for example, is considered a cosmic myth.
Although King Arthur likely existed as a historical figure, the true mystery lies not in the literal story, but in the profound mystical or occult truth concealed beneath allegory and parable.
To fully grasp the significance of the story of Parsifal, one must relate to the Knight and later King of the Sacred Cup, recognizing their own spiritual growth and the challenges they must overcome to achieve greatness.
The same truth is presented to the world in Lohengrin. It signifies the Initiation journey that everyone must experience on their path to self-mastery. Sacred legends have been provided to every culture and in every language to enlighten humanity about the route he must follow.
The blind Homer, who chronicled Ulysses’ adventures, also shared these vital truths with the world. The Scalds of ancient Norway and Sweden, the Prophets of the Jews, and the legends of the American Indians all shared a common truth, each presented in a manner that resonated with their unique cultural backgrounds, as depicted in the Sacred Books of the East.
The legend of the Round Table, bestowed upon King Arthur as a wedding present, symbolizes the eternal union of the Spiritual and Intellectual within the Initiate. This sacred bond between spirit and body, where each vows to honor and safeguard the other, is the true essence of the marriage between Arthur and Guinevere in the King’s tale.
Let’s begin by examining the arrival of King Arthur. In the Arthurian legend, we learn about Merlin the Magician, the wise man who was responsible for guiding the young King. Merlin symbolizes the guidance of the Elder Brothers, who recognized the presence of a significant ego in the world and dedicated themselves to preparing him for his destiny.
Merlin, the mastermind, oversaw the raising of the anvil and stone with the sword in the city square to select a new king. He summoned all the brave knights and declared that the one who could pull out the sword would be the ruler of the land. Among all the knights, only the half-grown boy Arthur succeeded in releasing the sword.
A remarkable mystery of the soul is hidden within the divine allegory. Let’s decipher the letters engraved on the sword. “WHO SO PULLETH OUT THIS SWORD OF THIS STONE AND ANVIL IS RIGHT-WISE KING BORN OF ENGLAND.”
Throughout the centuries, the cube stone has symbolized the body, while among the Masons, the Ashler now represents Man. Experience acts as the anvil, where the sword is honed. The sword embodies spirit, and to become a spiritual King, one must liberate the Sword of Spirit from the limitations of the lower self and the world.
The symbol in question is identical to the one later adopted by Sir Galahad, the innocent knight who embodies the essence of a purified individual. He arrives unarmed but eventually wields the spiritual sword he retrieves from the cube block drifting along the river of life near Camelot. Sir Galahad possessed the strength of ten due to his pure heart, and modern knights are called to tread the same journey.
If you are familiar with the tale of King Arthur, you will recall how he received Excalibur, the magical sword, as it emerged from the water grasped by a hand cloaked in white. Excalibur symbolizes illumination and honesty, serving as the weapon of the genuine Initiate.
In England, the Round Table of King Arthur is displayed on a courthouse wall, featuring a beautiful rose painted in natural colors at its very center. This rose serves as a symbol of the Rosicrucians, the ancient alchemists, and it represents a direct connection between the legend of the British King and the ancient Fire Philosophers.
Let’s take a moment to delve into the history of the Holy Grail, the cup used by Christ during the Last Supper to collect his blood at the time of crucifixion. According to ancient legends, this cup was crafted from a sacred stone that was once the crown jewel of Lucifer, representing the powerful energy of the universe. It is said that the green stone was knocked off Lucifer’s crown by the archangel Michael during the well-known battle in heaven.
It is believed that after Christ’s death, Joseph of Arimathea carried the sacred cup and spear of the Passion to a distant land. He traveled across Europe with these precious relics until his death. Centuries later, amidst much hardship, the relics were taken to Mount Salvart in northern Spain, where they stayed until Parsifal brought them back to the East for safekeeping.
The cup and spear are central to the legends of Parsifal and King Arthur, and by examining this connection, we can gain insight into the mystery of the Great White Lodge, represented by the Round Table of Arthur and the circular temple of the knights of the Grail.
Although the cup is no longer a physical symbol, it remains with us. Just as the brave knights of the Round Table fought for justice in the past, the modern knights of the Great White Brotherhood go out into the world in the name of truth and strive to correct the world’s injustices. The knights of Arthur’s court and those who rode out of Mount Salvart fought for virtue and purity.
The grail cup embodies the creative essence of nature and signifies the human race’s gradual understanding of creation’s mysteries. Contained within the cup is the blood of Christ, a powerful force that facilitates the transformation of the body into the soul, occurring at different rates based on the opportunities we create.
The sacred spear represents the creative force, which, when in the possession of the evil Klingsor, inflicts wounds and suffering, but when held by the pure Parsifal, it heals the very wound it caused. The allegories are teaching a valuable lesson to humanity, yet most people are too reluctant to pause and reflect on them.
They fail to recognize that they are the ones who the Elder Brothers of mankind must enlist in the battle against malevolent forces. The dragons and ogres in legends symbolize their own inner demons that they need to conquer. The medieval knights fighting for a lady’s hand represent the eternal struggle between the higher and lower aspects of human nature.
The knight of the present era is unaware that the white armor he sports is actually his purified body, providing him with immunity against all vices and passions. This is the essence of the legend.
His shield represents truth, offering complete protection for his inner self. His powerful right arm symbolizes the knowledge and spiritual strength he has cultivated within, while the sword he wields is the spiritual light that the pure flame of the Spirit Fire uses to dispel the darkness of ignorance and the demons of lust.
The divine spear and the cup he presents symbolize the two extremes of the inner creative vitality, which he cultivates by serving his fellow beings each day. Sitting around the circular table of the universe, the twelve Elder Brothers of mankind watch the knights in their battle of life, far from the uninitiated.
When the student finishes their work, they are liberated at the foot of the Grail, robed in the armor of spirit and the pure white of a cleansed body. The cloth is lifted from the sacred cup, illuminating the candidate with a light that would have been deadly without purification. They then join the knights of the Round Table, laboring for humanity.
In times of sickness and suffering, we seek help from the great unknown, and like Lohengrin to Elsa, our knight arrives. As our loved ones journey to the unknown, the brother of the Grail, the invisible helper, stands by, having earned the right to join the revered servers at the King’s table through days of dedicated service. While their bodies rest, they continue their pursuit of light and truth, eagerly awaiting the day they too shall reign as Kings of the Holy Grail.

Moral decay, consumerism, entertainment distractions, lust, animal products, processed food, fluoride, alcohol, and escapism are among the many factors leading to the fading of the Spiritual Fire in this era. As the last glimmer turns cold, our present society is on the same degenerative path as past civilizations.
It’s similar to a child wanting to persist in playing with distorted images of real things instead of embracing eternal truths. It’s like a child choosing to remain ignorant of the deeper realities of the science of life. Humanity plays with life. It plays with sex.
The desire is to continue engaging in play instead of comprehending the eternal laws of nature, neglecting the development of spiritual abilities. This behavior will persist until those abilities are permanently hindered, resulting in spiritual ignorance.
If attachment to material possessions continues and ignorance is used as an excuse for purposefully ignoring spiritual growth, there is a risk of irreversible spiritual idiocy. Humanity is already behind for its time, as it is too focused on material distractions, indulging in trivial emotional pursuits, and not engaging in enough critical thinking. It stubbornly remains ignorant of the facts and laws related to its true nature.
Individuals often make mistakes in selecting their sources of enjoyment due to a lack of understanding. They cling to the minor pleasures they possess, unaware of the more significant rewards that could be theirs if they were to broaden their spiritual awareness. As a child matures, they naturally begin to move away from their childish toys.
With time, the longing for those things diminishes, and there is no amount of money that could make it trade its hard-earned mental pleasures for a return to the foolish pastimes of ignorance. Likewise, spiritual evolution will lead individuals to gradually move away from frivolous activities, particularly those that were never intended for serious engagement.
He will transcend the usual sexual activities. Soon, he will no longer desire them, nor will he be willing to give up the profound spiritual fulfillment he has found for the fleeting pleasures of his past sensual pursuits.
Regarding his sexual morality, man has deteriorated. While adopting a more subdued approach to sexual expression, it has not become less sensual; on the contrary, it has become more so.
The progress of human civilization has been limited to refining our animal impulses, without moving beyond that. Now, these instincts are encouraged and prevalent in nearly every home. The current era is characterized by a level of sexual immorality that far surpasses the lifestyles of people throughout history.
