As they meticulously tuned the instrument, adjusting the strings with just the right amount of pressure to hit that flawless note, a thought dawned on him: he must avoid extremes.

Much like the strings that needed to be neither overly taut nor too relaxed, he realized that finding the right balance was crucial. The beautiful melody could only emerge from the instrument when its strings were finely tuned to the ideal tension. This insight gave rise to the Buddha’s teaching of The Middle Way.

Just as he reached this pivotal understanding, a woman named Sujata, a humble milkmaid, appeared before him, holding a shimmering golden bowl brimming with rice milk and porridge. Embracing his realization of the Middle Way, he accepted her gift with gratitude. In the past, such an indulgence would have been unthinkable for him, as he clung tightly to his extreme asceticism.

Instantly after indulging in the rice milk, his body was rejuvenated, fully restored to health. He grasped the brilliant golden bowl and set it afloat on the river, proclaiming that the rice milk would rise against the current, flowing upward. This is the enchanting story of the Golden Bowl of Rice Milk of the Buddha. His proclamation, “If this bowl can flow upwards, I shall reach enlightenment,” reveals a profound wisdom.

Turning of the River Jordan

This is the essence of the Buddha’s middle way—understanding that the secret to spiritual alchemy is to engage in a loving relationship that includes sexual intimacy while maintaining a sense of chastity. The fundamental principle of Alchemy is to uphold chastity while being sexually engaged.

But what do we mean by chastity? It’s essential to articulate this carefully. Chastity, in this sense, refers to the absence of energy release for both partners. We highlight this clearly because there are various misguided doctrines that aim to twist this concept in a subtle and harmful manner.

There’s no orgasm, no ejaculation for either partner. The crucial guideline is to cease before that moment arrives. If you don’t, you lose energy that’s necessary for refinement. Just as you can’t produce wine from a state of intoxication without water, it’s as simple as that.

More than just a concept, chastity represents a profound commitment within a relationship, distinguishing it from mere flings or spiritual aspirations. It is anchored in love and genuine concern for your partner, characterized by a purity of heart and mind.

This journey involves a relentless pursuit of refining oneself and letting go of lustful desires. While achieving this ideal is no simple task, but it is the goal. In the course of this activity, it’s evident that a certain level of sexual arousal is necessary. Our sexual organs need to be adequately prepared for the act of coming together.

It’s vital to distinguish between this sexual heat and simple lust. We must be cautious and protect our minds from succumbing to lustful desires. This is no easy feat, as sexual energy and lust are intertwined like two tangled balls of yarn, presenting a challenging scenario.

We must embrace the art of constant refinement. Perfection isn’t a destination reached in a flash; it’s a gradual evolution. As long as you stick to the essential guideline of channeling your energy rather than losing it, you will make strides. Engage in meditation time and again, fine-tuning your practice with every experience.

This is an enduring journey into the depths of your psychology, one that becomes more sophisticated as you progress. For those who are just beginning, a sharp awareness is crucial. This is not a game to be trifled with.

In the early stages, many should only engage in brief interactions, as our minds and bodies are quite familiar with the act of fornicating. They instinctively know how to generate energy, but you will need to instruct your body on how to retain it, a process that can be both challenging and emotionally demanding.

When a man and a woman unite, there’s an undeniable surge of sexual energy in the air. This energy is ignited, much like the workings of a combustion engine or a steam engine, and it begins to flow.

As this energy builds and shifts, the primal instincts within us yearn for it to erupt and be released, driven by our deep-seated connection to physical sensations. We are deeply connected to the feeling of orgasm.

It’s crucial to realize that if we decide to let go of that connection, the energy that is always at work will find a new route. It moves upward through the energy channels. The physical aspect of this energy gets reabsorbed, while the more refined, vital essence elevates. This is known as the seminal vapors, reminiscent of steam that rises gracefully.

Imagine a pot filled with water on the stove. As you turn up the heat, the water begins to bubble and transform into steam. This rising steam ascends, gathering in the cooler air above. If left unattended, this steam would eventually condense into tiny droplets, forming a shimmering layer on the ceiling.

This connection sheds light on how the trident, ensnared in our own inner flames (the furnace), can evolve into Poseidon’s trident. The core energy, that same infernal fire associated with the devil, is intrinsically linked to the divine fire of God.

We must cultivate the ability to liberate ourselves; we need to learn how to capture the fire from the devil, transmute it, and gently separate the heavy, crude aspects through careful heat and focused attention. Hermes conveys this message, highlighting that being attentive means remaining aware and guarding against sudden upheavals.

The harder you strive to transform, the more your ego pushes back against it. This creates a psychological tension, where your subconscious seeks to fulfill its cravings, clinging tightly to those familiar sensations.

These desires are rooted deep within, operating on a subconscious, even unconscious level, driven by a willpower that longs for the thrill of orgasm. As we embark on this journey, we find ourselves in a battle against our own inner selves.

Gradually, we are freeing ourselves from the constraints of willpower ensnared by desire. Our creative energies are gathering in the higher realms, tapping into the elevated facets of our being.

To begin, let’s explore the insights of Yeshe Tsogyel. She is renowned as the consort of Padmasambhava, the revered founder of Tibetan Buddhism. This tradition is rooted in the Vajrayana system, which encompasses a rich tapestry of tantric teachings.

Within this framework, various levels of Buddhism are interwoven, culminating in the profound teachings of Tantra at the highest echelons. Yeshe Tsogyel is often depicted in a deeply symbolic and intimate connection with Padmasambhava, embodying the essence of Tantric philosophy.

To allow the bodhichitta to be spilled outside is like slaying the Buddha Amitabha…

I was able to reverse the bodhichitta upward…

I remained attentive to the bliss but did not crave it…

Not for an instant did I give way to laziness.

What exactly is Bodhichitta? In this context, Bodhichitta refers to the essence of sexual energy. It is a deep and intricate subject that is closely tied to the teachings of Mahayana Buddhism.

At its core, Bodhichitta embodies the aspiration to achieve enlightenment. On a deeper level, it represents a profound understanding and insight into the nature of all existence, allowing one to perceive the true essence of reality, which is referred to as Prajna in Sanskrit.

“Bodhichitta” is a powerful term that conveys deep compassion and the altruistic drive to reach enlightenment, not just for oneself but for the upliftment of all beings. Fascinatingly, this word, which signifies the highest form of wisdom, also alludes to the dynamic force of sexual energy.

This should not be seen as a contradiction. It aligns seamlessly with everything we’ve explored in this article. Sexual energy is the embodiment of our developmental archetype, containing the purest representation of truth within.

When she expresses, “To allow the Bodhichitta to be spilled outside is like slaying the Buddha Amitabha” can be likened to the notion that in Western culture, unleashing sexual energy is tantamount to murdering the god Mercury. Mercury embodies our true self, our inner Buddha, and regrettably, we all share the guilt of having silenced that sacred presence within us.

In Christian belief, it is taught that transgressions against the Father can be absolved, and those against the Son can also find forgiveness. However, sins committed against the Holy Spirit are deemed unforgivable. What could be the reason behind this distinction?

The Father is related to our intellect, related to the truth, so anytime we do not speak the truth we disconnect ourselves from the Father, from our inner Father. The Son is related to wisdom and superior emotion and anytime we inhabit hatred we sin against the Son.

The Holy Spirit is related to our sexual energy. It is the Holy Spirit that engendered or fecundated the mother Mary, the birth occurs through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our sexual energy and that is the very core root of how we should understand that. If you do not work with your sexual energy, you cannot develop spiritually.

The fundamental nature of God is present within us, yet it exists in a largely inactive state. We must acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to activate and utilize this divine presence in its fully developed form.

One might compare people to an ill-informed individual who possesses a large quantity of money. This person has realized that burning the money generates heat, and this is the full extent of their knowledge about its use.

When someone intervenes to suggest that this practice is misguided, the individual may respond with perplexity, claiming that the warmth is satisfying. This situation underscores a critical lack of insight into the fact that their financial resources, paralleling sexual energy, can serve many functions beyond mere hedonistic pleasure.

Our knowledge regarding sexuality has predominantly emphasized the ability to derive personal pleasure. In relation to reproduction, we recognize that the traditional method of conceiving a child typically involves both orgasm and ejaculation.

However, it is essential to consider that conception can occur without these actions. There exists a possibility for procreation that does not require the total release of sexual energy. It can be suggested that if a small quantity of sperm is released without the act of ejaculation, it may lead to a conception that is not associated with orgasm.

This could be interpreted as an “immaculate conception,” realized through the will of God. Such an event could function as a form of regulation or birth control, fully consistent with these teachings.

Three Types of Alchemical Mercury

The concept of sexual alchemy is often synonymous with terms such as sexual magic and Sahaja Maithuna. The latter term, Sahaja Maithuna, translates to sacred intercourse. In the context of alchemical practices, sexual energy is frequently associated with the substance known as Mercury.

Mercury holds significant importance in the context of alchemical studies. It is essential to recognize that the element Mercury in alchemy is intrinsically linked to the deity Mercury, who is also associated with Hermes. This connection is deliberate and meaningful. At this moment, our focus is specifically on alchemical mercury as a substance.

In the realm of chemistry, mercury is classified as a metal that uniquely exists in a liquid state at room temperature. Commonly referred to as quicksilver, it has been a subject of fascination in alchemical practices, which frequently employ symbols associated with metallurgy, including the processes of melting and amalgamating various metals.

The term mercury in this discussion symbolizes our core sexual energy. There are two principal methods for transmuting this energy. One method, which has been elaborated upon, is through sexual union within marriage.

For individuals who are not in a relationship, transmutation can also be achieved via breathing techniques known as pranayama. Nonetheless, the effectiveness of pranayama is dependent on the presence of the Hermetic seal; without this seal, the practice may not yield any significant results due to insufficient energy.

The transformed sexual energy represents merely the initial stage of a process. This stage is referred to as “liberating the metallic soul” of mercury. Subsequently, this energy accumulates until it reaches a critical threshold, at which point a phase transition occurs.

This transition can be likened to the transformation of ice into water. The third form of mercury, which is the highest in elevation, is the one that fosters the emergence of new aspects within ourselves. This particular mercury is infused with sulfur, symbolizing the fiery essence of sexuality.

The process of transmuting sexual energy yields positive outcomes, including improved health, enhanced meditative experiences, and the development of refined emotional states. Yet, the primary objective lies in achieving the third type of mercury, which is realized only through a persistent and extended practice of energy transmutation.

There are three degrees of mercury:

1. Base sexual energy. Brute mercury.

2. Transmuted sexual energy. The liberated “metallic soul” of the Mercury.

3. The crystallizations of the transmuted sexual energy. The metallic soul of the Mercury fecundated with Sulfur (Fire).

How does it work? What do we do?

According to Samael Aun Weor:

When the sexual impulse to fornicate (orgasm / ejaculation) is refrained, the base semen is transformed into subtle vapors.

The subtle seminal vapor is the metallic soul of the mercury, which ascends up ida and pingala.

When those subtle vapors reach a saturation point, the kundalini awakens, and superior crystallizations of the soul occur.

Each refinement of sexual energy activates deeper and more occult forces which bring about terrible tempests of the soul.

The kundalini ascends in strict accordance with the purity of the heart.

The transmutation occurs when the ego gets out of the way. The intelligence of the Divine Mother is doing the real work.

The couple’s responsibility is to remain in chastity, remembering the divine, while applying the correct amount of “heat” (sexual arousal).

In the context of sexual magic, the act of refraining from the sexual impulse associated with fornication—specifically, orgasm or ejaculation—facilitates the transformation of primal sexual energy into more refined forms. This process results in what is referred to as seminal vapours, which are essentially subtle energies derived from the original sexual drive.

The seminal vapour represents the metallic essence of mercury that rises through the energy pathways known as Ida and Pingala. Upon reaching a certain level of saturation, these subtle vapours trigger the awakening of Kundalini. It is widely recognized that Kundalini signifies the emergence of a transformative fire.

This process facilitates the higher crystallization of the soul. The superior forms of crystallization are multifaceted, linked to the higher existential bodies, the essence of Being, and the awakening of our conscious awareness.

“The refinement of the sexual energy activates deeper and more occult forces that bring about terrible tempests of the soul.”

This indicates that our current sexual energy is fused with nefarious elements. What are these elements? We are the very essence of them! Our psychological constitution is significantly tainted, and the degree of this taint is profound.

Many people do not grasp how deeply we are entrenched in this darkness. The fact remains that a considerable part of ourselves remains hidden, intertwined with sensation and desire, which are aspects of our subconscious mind.

Engaging with sexual energy and transforming it illuminates the more profound dimensions of our being. As we delve deeper into this exploration, we discover that the intensity of our sexual energy significantly enhances our capacity to cultivate inner illumination.

Engaging with the forces necessitates that the journey toward a higher state of existence involves a descent into the depths of despair. This motif is prevalent across various mythologies, where the themes of descending into hell, experiencing decapitation, confronting death, and ultimately achieving resurrection serve as a synthesis of these experiences.

Gradually, it is posited that we must relinquish our ego and undergo a transformation into elevated states of existence. The Kundalini energy, akin to the fiery presence described in the Book of Acts, rises in direct correlation with the purity of our hearts.

Thus, the ascent of Kundalini is not a mere mechanical process; rather, it embodies the profound wisdom of Christ and the essence of our inner divine feminine, representing highly elevated spiritual dimensions. The phenomenon of transmutation is not achieved merely by our willpower, yet our participation is essential in facilitating it.

The act of consuming food involves a series of deliberate steps: we choose our food, chew it, and subsequently swallow it. Following this, the body assumes responsibility, utilizing its inherent intelligence to process the food and extract essential minerals.

This process can be analogously applied to the concept of sexual transmutation. In this context, we engage in the act and maintain control over certain elements, particularly the timing of when to release tension and when to cease the activity to avoid involuntary spasms.

However, the intricate transformation of this energy is governed by the body’s innate intelligence. Our Divine Mother facilitates this process, operating in a manner that is interconnected with us yet remains beyond our direct control.

In this context, we harness energies and establish the appropriate conditions for transformation. For instance, when heat is applied to a pot of water, it will ultimately convert into steam.

Similarly, when engaging in sexual intimacy, if one can avoid spasmodic reactions and cultivate an atmosphere of love and divine devotion while focusing on the inner self rather than succumbing to fleeting sensations of desire, the energy can be transmuted in a comparable manner.

Various practices such as mantras, prayers, and visualizations can be employed to facilitate this process. While these methods are beneficial, it is crucial to recognize that we do not engage with the intricate details of how energy undergoes transformation.

Our primary responsibility lies in establishing the appropriate environment and conditions. In this context, the term “environment” refers specifically to the psychological landscape associated with one’s consciousness.

The obligation of the couple is to practice chastity, remaining mindful of the divine, while effectively controlling the degree of sexual arousal. Articulating the distinction between theoretical understanding and practical application can be particularly challenging for novices.

The human ego operates with remarkable agility and subtlety, often leading individuals to be ensnared by their desires. However, when one exercises restraint against such impulses, an alternative form of joy emerges.

This joy transcends mere physical sensation; it represents a flourishing of the spirit, akin to a spiritual ecstasy rather than a physical one. Unlike the intense climax often described by various schools of thought, this experience is fundamentally different and should not be conflated with it.

The process of transforming this energy, akin to partaking in a unique elixir, enhances the depth of meditation. As one engages in this practice, a certain pleasantness arises, referred to as bliss in ancient texts, which is essentially the essence of our transformed sexual energy.

Pranayama

In our previous discussion, we explored the concept of sexual transmutation within the context of a couple. However, it is equally important to examine sexual transmutation from the perspective of an individual who is single. This practice is often referred to as pranayama.

Inhale deeply and slowly, visualizing the ascent of creative energy through the channels leading to the brain. During this inhalation, focus on the mental repetition of the mantra Ham: haaaaaaammmmmmmm.

One can conceptualize that, during the act of inhalation, there is a mental association with the rise of energy. By adopting a slow breathing rhythm, you ensure that by the time your lungs are fully expanded, you have already visualized this energy moving upward toward the brain.

Once your lungs are filled, you may pause your breath for a moment or two. However, the slow pace of your inhalation indicates that you have been holding your breath for a significant amount of time prior to this moment.

Following this, you exhale while enunciating the mantra “Sah” in a concise and swift fashion. The sound produced may be akin to: sssahh…The process of breathing involves inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.

During the inhalation phase, individuals mentally focus on the sacred syllable “Ham,” which aligns with the act of nasal breathing. On the other hand, the syllable “Sah” is pronounced during exhalation.

This method is a straightforward variant of pranayama, and its underlying rationale is rooted in the physiological connections that link the gonads to the nasal area.

Three Forms of Tantra

Within the realm of Tantra, various forms exist, which can be organized into three main categories: White, Grey, and Black. These categories are identified by assessing the specific results that each type produces.

White Tantra: those schools that produce beings who are clean of all egotistical desire, anger, lust, envy, etc. Such beings are known as Buddhas, Masters, Angels, Devas, etc.

Grey Tantra: those schools who want to be White but do not renounce Black methods. They are caught in the middle.

Black Tantra: those schools that produce beings who sustain and develop the causes of suffering, namely lust, anger, greed, pride, etc. Such beings are called demons, sorcerers, Maruts, Asuras, etc.

There exists a considerable volume of online content that explores Tantra, Kundalini, and sexual alchemy. Yet, nearly all of this material fails to incorporate the concept of the Hermetic seal and therefore they are invalid, they are wrong.

Any doctrine that talks about sexual alchemy, mingling with spirituality, and does not have the hermetic seal is a black doctrine and it will create your ego, it will cause you to suffer. The issue at hand is that certain doctrines possess the capacity to effectuate internal changes, leading to an awakening within one’s ego.

This phenomenon can be likened to experiencing an awakening within a hellish environment. While this state may confer a specific form of power and a distinct type of awakening, it ultimately represents a profoundly negative experience.

Historically, the approach to addressing this issue involved a deliberate silence regarding Tantra; discussions were avoided, and the subject was kept obscured. However, we find ourselves in a new era, one that necessitates open and transparent dialogue about all matters.

Various forms of Tantra and Kundalini yoga are prevalent, yet many do not incorporate the critical element of sexual energy transmutation. At best, these approaches can be deemed trivial, while more commonly, they are quite damaging. Despite their claims, they often embody the principles of Black Tantra.

You must combine your sexual energy with chastity, with the Hermetic seal, otherwise you are going to awaken within your ego, which is terrible, you will cause yourself to suffer a lot.

Genuine educational and religious institutions typically implement guidelines for individuals resembling priests, monks, and nuns, advising them to preserve their sexual energy. In contemporary contexts, this is often referred to as celibacy; however, the true essence of the teaching surpasses the notion of celibacy alone.

It is regrettable that many traditions have failed to acknowledge a higher dimension that exists beyond celibacy. While celibacy signifies the avoidance of sexual activity, a more precise and meaningful interpretation of this concept would be chastity.

Chastity signifies the correct application of our sexual energies. It is crucial to ensure that these energies are utilized in a proper manner. For married individuals, this means engaging in sexual transmutation through the principles of sexual alchemy.

In contrast, for those who are unmarried, it involves the preservation of sexual energy and the practice of pranayama, along with other related pursuits such as the Rites of Rejuvenation, Runic exercises, meditation, and the recitation of mantras. All sincere spiritual activities contribute to the beneficial flow of sexual energy.

Regarding Tantra, the 14th Dalai Lama, who is the present holder of this title, articulates the following perspective:

“In the view of Tantra, the body’s vital energies are the vehicles of the mind. When the vital energies are pure and subtle, one’s state of mind will be accordingly affected. By transforming these bodily energies we transform the state of consciousness.” 

An extensive examination reveals that this tradition is upheld by numerous esteemed schools and religions across the globe. The key lies in knowing where to direct our search. Sadly, the majority of individuals engaged in these traditions have lost touch with the fundamental inner teachings, specifically the alchemical knowledge.

They have preserved only the superficial aspects, such as symbols and rituals, which hint at a greater truth, but they do not possess a true comprehension of the teachings themselves.
